Bulletin boards are available for organizations and businesses to publicize their events or to advertise employment/volunteer opportunities. All postings must be of a civic, cultural, educational, or recreational nature and are subject to the approval of the library director.
Business Resources & Services
We offer an array of services and resources to local businesses. Itasca business owners (including non-residents with business property in Itasca) may apply for a Business Library Card. Authorized users may then use the card to check out library materials or access e-materials offsite. Click here to download the form and get more information on obtaining a card.

Computer Classes & Reserve-a-Librarian
We offer one-on-one tech help by appointment. In addition, social technology classes are offered on a variety of topics. Please check our program calendar for more information.
Computers & Internet
The library has computers available for public use. Internet access is available free-of-charge. The library provides a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access and PowerPoint. Black and white printing costs 10 cents/page; color printing is 50 cents/page.
A fax machine is available for public use in the library copy room for a nominal fee ($1.75 for the first page; $1.00 per page for each additional page; debit or credit card only). You may send, but not receive, a fax.
Need to dispose of your tattered, torn, or weathered American flags? Bring them to the library and deposit them in our drop box located by the entrance. The North DuPage VFW Post 5167 will make sure they are disposed of in a proper manner.
If the item you’re looking for is unavailable you can either Place a Hold or Suggest a Purchase. In addition to our regular borrowing services, we also offer options to request items from other libraries. Click on Chat With Us or call us at (630) 773-1699 for assistance in requesting materials from libraries outside our consortium.
Two meeting rooms are available for community groups to provide accommodations for programs of educational, informational, and civic interest. To schedule a meeting room, please submit a meeting room application at the Patron Services Desk. For more information, please contact the library. In addition to the meeting rooms, three study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. One accommodates 2 people and the other a group of 4.
The Museum Adventure Pass program grants Itasca Community Library cardholders free admission into various participating museums. Learn more at museumadventure.org.

The Itasca Community Library provides library materials for free delivery and pickup to all Itasca Community Library cardholders who are confined to their home permanently or temporarily due to age, illness, or physical disability.
We accept passport applications by appointment only. Please call 630-773-1699 to schedule.

Patrons who join the Popular Authors List (PAL) will be placed on the hold list for new books by their favorite fiction authors.
Recycle at the Library
You can drop off the following items into our recycle bins located on the main floor (by the magazine area):
- Plastic caps (#5 and above)
- Cell phones
- Eye Glasses
- Ink Cartridges
The library will proctor written, e-mailed, or online exams. A minimum of one week notice is required before any test will be proctored. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the library and make arrangements. A Tutor Board is available in the Youth Services Department to help students in kindergarten through 12th grade connect with tutors. Tutors may submit an informational flyer or business card at the Youth Help desk, which will be posted on the board at the discretion of the Head of Youth Services.
We offer an extended loan period of six weeks for books as long as they are not new releases and there are no pending requests. Please let patron services know when you are checking out material and you will be given the extension.
Free Wi-Fi access is available to patrons during the working hours of the library. No password required, just log on and enjoy!
Printing from laptops or iOS and Android devices is available for public use. Once your document is saved and ready, you can print from your laptop or download the mobile printing app on your device. Black & white printing costs 10 cents/page; color printing is 50 cents/page. Ask a librarian if you need any help with this service.
